Vetdiet® puppy all breeds chicken and vegetables formula is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for growth, including growth of large size dogs (70 lb or more as an adult).
Feed according to the age, size, and activity level of your dog. Feed at room temperature and refrigerate unused portion. Make sure your dog always has access to fresh water.
Puppy: Up to 11 weeks of age, feed as much as your puppy will eat, in 3 or 4 feedings per day. 11 to 26 weeks of age, feed ¾ can per 5 lb (2.3 kg) of body weight per day. 26 to 52 weeks of age, feed ½ can per 5 lb (2.3 kg) of body weight per day.
Gestation/lactation: Feed up to 3 cans per 15 lb (6.8 kg) of body weight per day.
The switch needs to be gradual. Start the transition by feeding your pet a mixture containing 75% of the old food and 25% Vetdiet®. Then, over 7 to 10 days increase the relative proportion of Vetdiet® pet food until the transition is complete.
