Puppy: Up to 11 weeks of age, feed as much as your puppy will eat, in 3 or 4 feedings per day. 11 to 26 weeks of age, feed ¾ can per 5 lb (2.3 kg) of body weight per day. 26 to 52 weeks of age, feed ½ can per 5 lb (2.3 kg) of body weight per day.
Gestation/lactation: Feed up to 3 cans per 15 lb (6.8 kg) of body weight per day.
The switch needs to be gradual. Start the transition by feeding your pet a mixture containing 75% of the old food and 25% Vetdiet®. Then, over 7 to 10 days increase the relative proportion of Vetdiet® pet food until the transition is complete.
